A Look Back at Le Cœur De L'Art

Le Cœur De L'Art (“The Heart of Art”) opened at Niche Beverly last month in West Hollywood, bringing together a group of seven artists from around the world for a truly special evening. Curated by Similien Art, the exhibition offered a space to explore the emotional and cultural threads that run through creativity, with each artist sharing a deeply personal point of view.

Among them was Kim Ahonoukoun, who joined Tonia Calderon, Manyaku Mashilo, Amani Lewis, Astra Huimeng Wang, Shaina McCoy, and Francesca Lalanne in presenting work that invited conversation, reflection, and connection.

The exhibition created an atmosphere of connection and reflection. Each piece invited viewers to look beyond technique and into the heart of the artist's intent of bridging emotion, identity, and heritage through colour, texture, and form.

For Kim, participating in Le Cœur De L'Art was an opportunity to be part of a wider dialogue about the role of personal history and cultural memory in shaping artistic practice. Kim’s work added a unique perspective to the show’s overarching theme which was the power of art to communicate what words often cannot.
